Hi All
I have been called for an Absence Management meeting at work and wanted to know if anyone else had experienced one of these and if this is the next step to me being dismissed. Is sick leave related to your disability allowed to be counted.
Any comments would be appreciate. Many thanks.

Hello there

I think it may be difficult to sack any one these days especially if you have a disease like RA.

We have a 1 2 1 meeting in conjunction with a return to work interview. Get advice from the
our own RA helpline. Thats what they are there for is to answer our feelings

Good luck

Hi Gillian

You do need some proper advice about this before your meeting. Certainly some of your time off will be counted even if it is due to RA. Do they know that you have a chronic condition? I imagine they will be looking to assess your needs in relation to the job rather than dismissing you.

I'm sure the NRAS helpline will be able to offer some support on this and certainly worth giving them a call.
